September 01, 2008 - OK so the realtor put the sign up on the house Tuesday, on Wednesday we had someone looking at the house, and on Saturday they came to use with a purchase offer, we rejected the first offer and today we had the second purchase offer in and accepted it so our house is officially in sale pending status. We’re pretty excited about it as this is the second house we’ve had sold within a week of it hitting the market. Closing is set for mid October and we will stay in the house until at least the end of the year, but we will start to look sometime in October, if we don’t find anything in that time then we always have the option to stay in the apartment until we do.

We had a great weekend except for a couple mishaps. Saturday morning we went to the public market with Jennifer and Mark, had a good time, really enjoyed their company after that we each went home to do whatever. Nicky had asked for some blueberries so I gave him some, actually way too many than I should have because later on that day when we went to the zoo with Jennifer and Mark, Nicky started to feel rather ill and next thing you know he was throwing up all over (twice at the zoo, once in the car, and three times at home). I felt so bad for him every time we tried to give him something to calm his tummy it seemed to only make it worse, needless to say on Sunday he wasn’t up to eating too much and berries were totally out of the question.

Monday (Labor Day) we went to Stef & Matt’s house, they had a get together with the family, the only one missing was Jennifer but she had plans to go to the fair. Had a good time catching up with people and Nick seemed to enjoy himself, Uncle Matt, who is really great and has patience of a saint, took him in the pool so he could go swimming and he so loved it. After that we came home so Mike could take a nap before he went off to work and Nicky, Piggy and I walked up to my mom’s house for a little bit.

Sad News; One of the most popular animals at the Seneca Park Zoo died Sunday. < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />Yukon, an 18-year-old patriarch polar bear, died in his sleep, the zoo announced. His death came three days after zoo staff noticed he appeared ill and began treating Yukon. According to the zoo, a provisional necropsy showed that Yukon had an abdominal cavity infection related to pancreatitis. Polar bears can live to be 30 years old, but only a small percentage live past 18 years, zoo officials said.

Now comes Tuesday back to daycare and school for all of us and Wednesday starts school for Mike & I and Nicky starts his preschool classes on the 8th.
